The (Catholic) bishop of Córdoba has a New Year revelation for us all. He believes that UNESCO has a program to make half the population homosexual and says that this United Nations organization is bent on “implanting an ideology” that already supports this theory in schools.
He then goes on to warn that sexuality is not “a game of pleasure “and on the subject of abortion states that “Spain walks proud of her progress towards her own destruction” due to a declining birthrate.
I look forward to more pearls of wisdom from church spokesmen over the coming twelve months.

It's strange how the catholic church likes to try and impose what IT sees as moral good. Do they not suppose that we can decide for ourselves?
Thanks for the comment. I think they fear the average person deciding things for themself. Increasingly, they are right to fear this because more and more people are waking up the ethical weakness of the church.
The church is hardly the only group that tries to tell us how they think we should behave. And compared to many hectoring and bullying organisations it has little power now and can be (and usually is) ignored. Political parties, trade unions, fake charities and lobbyists of all kinds worry me far more than the church.
Yes, they worry me too (though unions have a lot less power these days, sadly.)
The church is mainly ignored by intelligent people who think a bit but there are still a lot of sheep who enjoy following and like to have their view provided for them by men who have a narrow experience of life.
I fully agree about fake charities like this one: http://www.bretthetherington.net/default.aspx?pageId=96
